Stuart Florida Sailfish Season

Stuart Florida is the ” Sailfish Capital of the world ” and now’s the time to get hooked up with REEL BUSY CHARTERS. Sailfish is the main attraction off the coast of Stuart Florida this time of year but we’re also catching dolphin/mahi mahi, tuna, kingfish, wahoo, bonito, barracuda and sharks. The bottom bites been small snappers, sea bass and triggers with no grouper bites.

December is the start of sailfish season and the beginning of the winter sailfish migration. Packs of sailfish are starting to push through so we’re getting 3 to 5 sailfish bites on most of our Stuart Florida Sailfish Charters. During the next 3 months double digit sailfish releases are always a possibility and we’ll catch at least 2 or 3 on most of our sailfish charters.

The dolphin fish or mahi mahi are also pushing through. We’re catching a few on most days and most of them have been gaffers of 8 to 12 pounds. On most days we’ll catch a few dolphin and dance a few sailfish so give us a call and let’s get busy catching fish.

Kingfish , bonito and barracuda have been active around the reefs and wrecks and we should start seeing a few cobia this month as well. Sport fish or bottom fish, we’ll hook you up with a great day on the water catching fish. Call or text Capt. Wayne, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters

Catching Sailfish and Dolphin

Welcome to REEL BUSY CHARTERS and to our Stuart Florida Fishing Report. Sailfish and Dolphin are the main attraction during the fall and winter months but we’re also catching Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Kingfish, Bonito and Barracuda.

We’ve been catching dolphin and sailfish on most of our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters but this weekend they took turns. One day we caught 14 dolphin and only had one sailfish in the spread all day. The next morning 1/2 day we caught and released 3 sailfish and never had a dolphin bite.

Sailfish and dolphin are pushing through in packs so multiple hook-ups are abundant this time of year. Some days we’ll catch more dolphin, some days more sailfish but most days we’ll catch both.

There’s been a few wahoo around and we’ve been catching a few blackfin tuna of 20/25 pounds. GET HOOKED-UP aboard the REEL BUSY,  Call….. Capt. Wayne  772-341-6609

We look forward to taking you fishing, Capt. Wayne

Sailfish & Tuna

Welcome to our Stuart Florida fishing Report. The summer sailfish bite continues to be good to excellent on most days and the Blackfin Tuna are stacked on the ridge 10 miles offshore. The dolphin fishing continues to be hit and miss but we’re catching a few gaffers up to 18 pounds and it’s picking up a bit. Kingfish and bonito are providing plenty of action in-between the sailfish bites on the reef line just 5 or 6 miles offshore.

The Blackfin tuna on the hill are 5 to 10 pound footballs and they’re aggressively feeding right now. We caught 21 blackfins in about 2 hours yesterday and although they’re not as big as the tunas we catch on the Bahamas side they still look great on a plate.

It’s well know around the world that Stuart Florida has an awesome sailfish bite during the winter months but the summer sailfish bite is second to none. We’re getting 3 to 5 hook-ups on most of our sailfish charters and catching 2 or 3.

The dolphin fishing’s been hit & miss both near shore and offshore but running and gunning the deeper waters of the gulfstream is my favorite this time of year. We don’t always find them out there but when we do it’s game on.

There’s been allot of action around the six mile reef. Sailfish, kingfish, bonito, dolphin, cobia, amberjack, sharks and snappers. Give us a call and let’s catch some fish. Capt. Wayne Brodeur, Reel Busy Charters 772-341-6609reel6

Stuart Florida Fishing / Bahamas Fishing Charters

reel6

Welcome to Reel Busy Charters and our Stuart Florida Fishing Report. There’s been allot of media hype concerning the dumping of Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie River but the offshore waters are still blue and the Reel Busy is still catching fish.

Sailfish, dolphin and tuna are providing most of the action off the coast of Stuart this time of year with a mix of kingfish, bonito and cobia. On the Bahamas side we’re catching tunas, marlin, dolphin, groupers and snappers.

The sailfish bite off the coast of Stuart is excellent this time of year. We’re getting 4 or 5 sailfish bites and catching 2 or 3 on most of our Sailfish Charters.

We haven’t been catching as many big dolphin as we did in the spring but there’s more packs of schooling dolphin pushing through. Big dolphin and blue marlin will pop up on packs of schooling dolphin this time of year and it’s game on.

The blackfin tuna never stacked up off the coast of Stuart this year but the ones we’ve been catching are all big blackfins of 15 to 25 pounds. Blackfin tuna and skip-jack tuna are abundant on the Bahamas side. We haven’t been catching as many yellowfin tuna as we usually do on our Bahamas fishing charters but we’re catching a few mixed in with the blackfins.

Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World

Welcome to Reel Busy Charters and another fishing report from Stuart Florida, Sailfish Capital of the World. The lack of cold fronts has the sailfish season off to a slow start but that’s all about to change. Acres of baitfish are showing up and there’s no doubt the packs of sailfish and cobia we’ve been waiting for won’t be far behind.

We’ve been catching 1 or 2 sailfish on most of our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters but we should be catching at least 3 to 5 this time of year. There’s packs of migratory sailfish coming down the coast with every cold front and right now they’re about 40 to 50 miles north of us. We’ll start seeing these packs as early as this week and should have an excellent sailfish bite through February this year.

The dolphin or mahi mahi provided most of the offshore action last week and the dolphin fishing should continue to be good to excellent on most days. Five to fifteen pound dolphin are moving around in packs so there’s been some quiet time in-between the pandemonium.

Kingfish are still abundant along the reefs and wrecks and although they might not be as tasty as mahi mahi , smoked kingfish is excellent.

Sailfish and Dolphin are the main attraction this time of year but we’ll also be catching kingfish, wahoo, tuna and cobia. Give us a call and get hooked up with a great day on the water catching fish. Capt. Wayne Brodeur, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters IMGP0028IMGP0023

Dolphin, Wahoo and Sailfish, Kingfish

The winds and seas have kept us at the dock more than we like the last ten days but the dolphin fishing’s been excellent. Caught 7 dolphin and lost a few more on a 1/2 day fishing charter and 16 dolphin and a wahoo on a 3/4 day fishing charter.

Dolphin, sailfish, kingfish and wahoo are all showing up right now just 6 to 8 miles offshore. The cold fronts push through with allot of wind and sporty seas but in-between the fronts the fishing is excellent. Give us a call and get hooked up with a great day on the water catching fish aboard the Reel Busy. Call Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters 16 dolphin-wahoo

Stuart Florida and the Bahamas

The Reel Busy is a full time Stuart Florida Charter Boat but this time of year we do as many Bahamas fishing adventures as possible. We’ve been catching sailfish, dolphin, tuna, kingfish, cobia, bonito, amberjack and sharks on our Stuart Florida Fishing Charters. We’re catching Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Snappers and Grouper on our Bahamas Fishing Adventures.

The summer sailfish bite has been excellent and should continue to be for a few more weeks. Stuart Florida is know for the wintertime sailfish bite during the winter sailfish migration but they can’t migrate south in the winter without passing through in the summer.

We’ve been catching small blackfin tuna and dolphin on the hill about 10 miles offshore. We’re releasing allot of peanut dolphin and not catching as many big ones as I like but we’re catching fishing and that’s always fun.

Let us know what you want to catch and we’ll try to get ‘r done. Sailfish, dolphin, tuna, cobia, kingfish, amberjack and sharks are all on the menu right now. Thanks for considering Reel Busy Charters and we look forward to hooking you up with a great day on the water catching fish. Capt. Dolphin & Tuna Time

April is here and we’re catching Dolphin/Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish, Sharks and Cobia. This is a great time of year get hooked up with a Stuart Florida charter boat and catch some fish.

The dolphin bite was a steady pick last week and the big bull dolphin are starting to show up. Most of the dolphin we’ve been catching are 5 to 10 pounds but we had several 15 to 25 pound dolphin last week. The next 4 to 6 weeks is prime time for trophy size dolphin of 35 to 65 pounds so give us a call and let’s hunt one down.

Blackfin Tuna are stacking up on a ridge about 10 miles off the beach. The blackfin tuna vary in size from school to school. Some schools consist of primarily 3 to 4 pound tuna and others are all 7 to 10 pound tuna. Most of the blackfins this week were 5 to 8 pounds and we had couple pushing 10 to 12 pounds. The tuna fishing is good to excellent on most days and we’ll be happy to hook you up.

Sailfish aren’t the main attraction for most anglers this time of year but there’s been plenty around and we’ve been catching a few while trolling the edges for dolphin. The warmer waters and faster trolling speeds create a hot and aggressive sailfish bite that’s always an awesome sight to see.

Cobia and Big Bull Sharks are providing plenty of action just 3 miles off the beach. Most of the cobia we catch are 20 to 40 pounds, up to 60+ when the bull sharks cooperate. The bull sharks vary in size but most are 2 or 3 hundred pounds so while it’s always disappointing to lose your cobia to a shark it’s also an awesome sight to see.

Dolphin and tuna are providing most of the offshore action but we’ll also be catching sailfish, kingfish, wahoo, bonito and hopefully a blue marlin or two. Get hooked up with Reel Busy Charters and have a great time catching fish aboard the REEL BUSY. Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609 Group Shot Reel Busy

Big Dolphin and a few Sails

Stuart Florida fishing is usually good this time of year and February’s off to a hot start. The near shore waters are loaded with bait now and we’re catching sailfish and dolphin just 6 to 8 miles off the beach. We’ll be catching sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, wahoo, cobia, bonita and sharks this month and have a few week days available the 3rd and 4th week this month.

The dolphin fishing has been good to excellent the last week or so and we’re catching dolphin from 5 to 25 pounds on all of our fishing charters. The average day is 5 or 6 dolphin and the good days we’re catching 10 to 15 dolphin. The dolphin are pushing through in waves so every day is different but overall the dolphin fishing has been excellent.

The recent cold fronts are finally pushing a few more sailfish down the coast and we look forward to a good sailfish bite in the coming days and weeks. We caught a couple, lost one and missed a couple sailfish bites on our last trip out and hope to find a red hot sailfish bite this week. Overall the sailfishing has been decent but not great and we’re still waiting for a late winter flurry.

The reefs & wrecks will soon be loaded with cobia that are following the bait down the Treasure Coast. We haven’t had any manta ray encounters as of yet but it’s only a matter of time before they show up with cobia in tow.

Stuart Florida Fishing Adventures aboard the REEL BUSY, we catch fish and you can too. CALL: Capt. Wayne Brodeur, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters.  Thank You !
