Spring is in the air and springtime fishing off the coast of Stuart Florida is second to none. Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, tuna, cobia, kingfish, wahoo and even blue marlin can all be caught on a Stuart Florida fishing charter this time of year.
The near shore reefs and wrecks are holding cobia, sharks, kingfish and bonita just 3 to 5 miles off the beach. Cobia fishing is good to excellent this time of year and we’ll be catching cobia from 30 to 60 pounds on our near shore fishing charters.
The edge of the gulfstream is 7 to 10 miles off the beach this time of year and mahi mahi and tuna will be providing most of the action. Packs of mahi mahi are cruising the current edge’s and the blackfin tuna are stack up on a ridge 10 miles off the beach so multiple hook ups are abundant. Mahi’s and tuna’s will provide most of the action off shore with a few sailfish and wahoo in the mix. Blue Marlin are always a possibility during the spring and summer months as they’re searching out and feeding on mahi mahi and tuna.
The Reel Busy is a Stuart Florida Fishing Machine and we look forward to catching fish with you. Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters
Stuart Florida fishing is usually good this time of year and February’s off to a hot start. The near shore waters are loaded with bait now and we’re catching sailfish and dolphin just 6 to 8 miles off the beach. We’ll be catching sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, wahoo, cobia, bonita and sharks this month and have a few week days available the 3rd and 4th week this month.
The dolphin fishing has been good to excellent the last week or so and we’re catching dolphin from 5 to 25 pounds on all of our fishing charters. The average day is 5 or 6 dolphin and the good days we’re catching 10 to 15 dolphin. The dolphin are pushing through in waves so every day is different but overall the dolphin fishing has been excellent.
The recent cold fronts are finally pushing a few more sailfish down the coast and we look forward to a good sailfish bite in the coming days and weeks. We caught a couple, lost one and missed a couple sailfish bites on our last trip out and hope to find a red hot sailfish bite this week. Overall the sailfishing has been decent but not great and we’re still waiting for a late winter flurry.
The reefs & wrecks will soon be loaded with cobia that are following the bait down the Treasure Coast. We haven’t had any manta ray encounters as of yet but it’s only a matter of time before they show up with cobia in tow.
Stuart Florida Fishing Adventures aboard the REEL BUSY, we catch fish and you can too. CALL: Capt. Wayne Brodeur, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters. Thank You !
January started off the slow side but Stuart Florida fishing’s been good to excellent the last couple of weeks. We’ve been catching 5 to 10 dolphin on most of our fishing charters this month and most of them are heavy lifters and gaffers. Dolphin ranging in size from 10 to 20 pounds have been aggressively feeding from Jensen Beach to Jupiter and the best bite’s been 6 to 8 miles off the coast of Stuart. Dolphin, also referred to as mahi-mahi or dorado are allot of fun to catch and always taste great on a plate.
The lack of cold fronts slowed the sailfish migration and the sailfish bite is just starting to fire up off the coast of Stuart. A couple more cold fronts and we should have a red hot sailfish bite as we push on into February. We’ve been catching a few sailfish on the troll but the threadfins are finally showing up and we’ll be doing more live bait fishing for sailfish. We have another cold front pushing through this weekend and hopefully a red hot sailfish bite when the conditions settle down next week.
Kingfish and bonita have been providing the action around the reefs & wrecks and the cobia are on the way. There’s been a few cobia around but they’ll stack up in the coming weeks and usually show up with the manta rays in February.
It’s a great time of year for Stuart Florida Fishing the REEL BUSY is consistently one of the top producing charter boats in the area so give us a call and let’s catch some fish. We hope to take you fishing soon. Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters
Now’s the time to do some Stuart Florida Fishing aboard the REEL BUSY. Sailfish and Dolphin are providing most of the action but we’re also catching Tuna, Kingfish, Bonita, Sharks and Wahoo.
Dolphin fishing has been good to excellent although they’ve been scattered about. We’ve had to do some hunting around but we’ve been catching at least 4 or 5 on every fishing charter. We caught a dozen dolphin yesterday and jumped off just as many. The dolphin are pushing through in packs so we’ve been having more multiple hook ups than singles lately, you gotta love it.
There hasn’t been a red hot sailfish bite yet but there will be and it could happen any time now. We’ve been getting 2 or 3 opportunities and catching 1 or 2 but we should be getting at least 4 or 5 opportunities, 7 to 10 on a good day. The sailfishing is decent and will continue to get better so if you want to catch a sailfish now’s the time to give us a call and catch sailfish.
Baits starting to show up around some of the reefs & wrecks and the Cobia won’t be too far behind them. Giant Manta Rays with packs of Cobia below usually show up in January/February and sight fishing for cobia under the manta rays is a blast.
Happy Holidays ! Reel Busy Charters, Capt. Wayne Brodeur 772-341-6609
There’s only one thing people love more than catching Dolphin/Mahi-Mahi ,… Eating Them ! We’ve been catching allot of dolphin for a couple of weeks now and all the action’s been just 4 to 6 miles off the beach. The Dolphin we’re catching right now vary in size from 5 to 15 pounds and they’re attacking in small packs so multiple hook-ups have been plentiful. The Dolphin fishing will continue to be good on most days throughout the fall and especially good after a cold front passes through.
It’s early in the sailfish migration but with cold fronts starting to roll through every seven to ten days the sailfish are on the move. We’ve had a decent sailfish bite and we’re catching or jumping off a sailfish or two on almost every trip. In the coming weeks we’ll be catching 2 or 3 sailfish almost every day as packs of sailfish move into the waters off the coast of Stuart Florida.
The main attraction is Sailfish and Dolphin this time of year but we’re also catching Kingfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Cobia, Bonita, Barracuda and Shark aboard the Reel Busy. We Catch Fish and you can too. Call Capt. Wayne Brodeur, 772-341-6609 Reel Busy Charters
The first cold front of the season came through over the weekend and the Dolphin fishing is red hot.
We caught 19 dolphin yesterday and jumped off or missed another 10 or 12. We didn’t catch any dolphin over 12 pounds but most of them we’re 8 to 10 pounds so everybody had a pile of filets to take home.
The Sailfish weren’t so eager to play the game and the only one we hooked-up jumped off while putting on a show. The dolphin fishing has been consistently good with a sailfish or two in the mix. There’s been a few wahoo starting to show up and there’s a few kingfish and cobia on the reefs and wrecks.
This is a great time of year for a Stuart Florida Fishing Charter catching Sailfish and Dolphin so give us a call and get hooked-up with Reel Busy Charters. We hope to take you fishing soon, Capt. Wayne 772-341-6609

Sailfish and MAHI-MAHI are providing most of the action and the conditions are picture perfect this week. We’ve been catching MAHI-MAHI ranging in size from 5 to 25 pounds just 6 to 8 miles off the beach. On most days you can expect to catch at least 3 to 5 MAHI-MAHI with a Sailfish or two in the mix.
As fall settles in the Sailfish and MAHI- MAHI begin their winter migration and the waters off the coast of Stuart Florida are teaming with fish. Sailfish, MAHI-MAHI, Blackfin Tuna, Kingfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Bonita and Wahoo are all possibilities this time of year.
